New Mexico is a sparsely populated state in the southwestern desert area of the United States, and it’s wonderful to travel through by car. This photo essay takes you on a brief trip across scenic Route 380, which is in the central area of the state.

Just off of I-25 on Route 380, central New Mexico, you can literally see for miles around. Here you’re looking west towards distant mountains.
